THERE MUST BE A TIME was composed for the John Adams High School (South Bend, IN) Chorus  and premiered as a choral piece in April, 1972, Priscilla McLean, conducting.  Written in the style of a hootenanny song, it was performed earlier, in Boston coffee houses in 1964 by two guitars and singer, led by Bill Ryder.  The choral work with flute obbligato was published by Silver Burdett Co. in 1972 (now out of print).
