Peter's  People  Suite  (audio)

The music was by Barton McLean, produced on the Symbolic Sound Kyma System, the first of several compositions utilizing this by McLean. Here is a suite derived from the complete video, called the "Peter's People Suite." It is in three movements:

  • 1. Moving Along (6:46),

  • 2. Pleased to Meetcha (3:24), using material from local singer Athena Burke, Guitarist Terry Lamphere, and Charlie Toquarz on woodwinds.

  • 3. The Old Wife of the Mill Dust Reel (4:06), using as its main subject the bagpipes of Don Lindsay, after a brief intro reprise from the first movement.
